From slumdogs Magic to Delhi 6
First coming on Delhi 6's music, Mohit Chauhan's magical voice creating raves among the audience. Rehna Tu and "Yeh Hai Dilli mere jaan" are among the chart busters. But what has taken me by surprise is " Sasural genda phool". I think this is one of its type by magician AR Rehman.A chattisgarhi (previously MP) folk song blended by AR Rehman's score and its RAP beats make it his uniquest ever song. And guys i have really listened it for so many times now.
My inquisitive nature let me to explore its video on Youtube. After seening Abhi's Dance steps and the homely ladies(wahedda ji's and others) natural dance i am going bonkers.
I guess if Golden globe can nominate "Jai Ho" which is just another number from Rehman, i guess they need surly hear this song and then take it forward next year.
I hope AR Rehman is not getting award this year because the moive is directed by a Brit( though no offenses to Slumdog's crew). and getting an award for out an out Bollywood film will then reflect foreign awards unbiased assessment.

advantageExperience
Once one of my mentors told me there can be just 3 types of person in this world.
1. The person who learn by their experience (good or bad)
2. The person who do not learn
3. The person who learn from others experience.
He added that the person falling in 3rd category shall be the most successful person as he saves time in not making mistakes and does right thing himself . Thus reaching his career goal faster than anybody else. Though he said the 3rd category people are rare as learning from others experience is the most difficult thing. It is like till you actually put a lemon drop on your tounge you will never feel it is sour. But if you dont like why do yo wanna taste it anyways.
Instance 2
Other day while peeking into someones person life@orkut. i found an interesting quote. It goes like this " while walking forward on a unknown path to reach a target always ask person who is coming backwards on that path".
Instance 3
And today i was reading a book called "A Case of a bonsai manager". the book stated that the people can learn better in life when they are put with experienced people. the author gave numerous examples and the most relevant to me was the TAS managers assisting MDs and Presidents en-route to become one among them.
There was a similarity in all the three instances. All the 3 highlighted the importance of learning from others experience. First instance narrator was a able Psychiatrist. Second one was narrated by a novice professional and 3rd one by board of directors of large conglomerate. so quite a broad range of stake holders stating a same fact. This really makes a perfect sense. During my professional journey till now i has had several experiences which my experienced fellow informed and happened. Though that is a separate issue whether i respected their decision or not.
My only word of caution to all reader (if any :)) is that to compare situation and environment of other's previous experience with the your situation in hand. In our consulting engagements though we have similar nature of engagements, we do "Situation analysis" and "Surround consideration analysis" in each of them. This is to avoid bad decisions based on our previous experience which might not be applicable to this new and different situation.

4 days short of 4 years !!!!
I was trying to list down my 4 professional achievments and failures but when i started comparing it there was none which i could list. The failures in comparison to people who achieved none become achievements and achievements in comparison to high achievers become none. I was in a state of fix. But then another learning came. In order to be happy/out of confusion one need to see himself as a standalone to achieve whats his real target/aim. Somebody said " Work hard to achieve your goals or be ready to be lost in materialistic maze".
The 4 things i would like to state what i feel is the correct way:- (Though this is strictly my opinion and perspective towards life. You have all the right to vary on this and give a cold face :) )
1. Set the goals that you will like to achieve in actual and do not set your goals after seeing what people are doing.
2. One can see the path of people to achieve similar goals. (As startegy is nothing but postmortem of success)
3. But then choosse the best fit Goal/path for yourself because everyone as an individual is different .
Hope till next i am able to follow these 4 steps religiously !!!!
Good luck, Gaurav and all !!!!!

A novice's consulting learning ladder
That was the first learning step I landed upon when I stepped onto consulting ladder
It was green field project. As the name suggest client just have field that is green and a vision to reach to the pinnacle. So in a green field project data isn’t easy to come by especially in company where IT is just a supporting function. The IT know-how is pretty less in such organizations as IT department at a startup is very small sized that is just good enough to sustain routine work. So, a consultant is taken into an advisory mode. To freeze their IT requirements our advice was always taken.
This second step on the ladder was steep to climb but the sooner we jump the better results we can get.
We had a panel group discussion i.e. a key representative of each department. In our case it was VP of each department. This group was formed to discuss at a single platform to freeze the requirements. It started off well but when it came to technology discussions the problem of too many started creeping in. The people who were not concerned with technology were afraid to introduce them and the discussion ware taken into a different direction. Also while introducing a new technology some department fear loss of their value in organization so technology oppositions are by to come if all the people are in the discussions. So it is going to make our job difficult.
Another stepping stone was to include only relevant stakeholders while discussions, otherwise similar problem of “too many” and “oppositions” might creep in.
And in the lastly we always have to be ready for clients "if ... then ..." clause questions. This was the favorite cliché that the stakeholders use. A client knows his business best he always ride his horse of imagination and come out with endless permutation and combinations. Sometimes in those quizzing discussion we can find answer to queries and solutions.
Novice consultant has to be a very good listener as well.
This above experience can be found in many books and forums. This is just a reiteration of these with my own little experience. In this vast consulting field, there are many such ladders to be climbed upon and many different stepping stones to be crossed. This ladder was just another one of them.

It rained that day more than ever before !!!!!
Looking for somerhing that can make me sway,
It saw a shadow that gave me glimmer of hope,
I opened the window
but it rained that day more than ever before!!!
Last summer i went to play,
The odd tennis game on the clay,
I won all the games before the final day
I went to temple to pray for the D day
But it rained that summer more than ever before!!!
Last night the moon was shinning bright,
It looked as if diamond ring will losse its shine
I was about take her to dine and wine but
It rained that night more than ever before!!!
I was thinking why this rain always come in between
In the green garden I was frustrated and down,
I thought i should knee down,
I found a matchstick and did the ritual
But it rained that whole day more than ever before!!

Leadership and prevention of AIDS
There are generally two kinds of people in this world. Most are the people who look at others person to become leaders and follow them and a few who are leaders. Then there is a rare breed of the people who find leader in oneself to lead self. This world stage is a blend of all three breeds to fight against odd, to challenge the status quo, predominance or preponderance. The world had seen many Hitlers, many 9/11s events and world can surely fight AIDS as well. And what was common in a successful fight against these was the spirit to fight back and a vision that everybody followed demonstrated by thoughtful leadership within an individual, community, nation or world as a whole.
Visionary and thoughtful leadership to fight the AIDS will, not only channelise our efforts in a direction to achieve a bigger goal but also make us accountable for steps we take. Small organizations working on different aspects of AIDS such as preventive or curative, will not lead us to any where. We need to fight AIDS as one combined big unit by complementing each organizations work by our actions by following the bigger picture approach. This is the kind of leadership that infuses enthusiasm, provide resource planning and encourage activist. This leadership is very important to set the right tone to the whole initiative. The people who help them are none other then the huge crowd of followers. They are always the most important part in any battle, revolt or revolution. They are the actual implementers of any vision at the grass root level.
The second or atypical breed of leaders mentioned are the people who are enough self-motivated to fight against AIDS at personal level. They are the people who sometimes work as silent follower and sometimes as a silent leader. They lead themselves by example and follow the leader within themselves. The level of self awareness is complemented by the will to fight AIDS. They also work with the people close to them in this fight.
Each and every person is important in fight against AIDS. He may be a person who is fighting in community to prevent it or a person who is suffering from it. AIDS spread from an infected person. Unawareness among lower strata of society about them being infected by AIDS makes the cause more difficult. To start with, visionary and thoughtful Leadership will be important to create such an environment where people discuss about AIDS and the people suffering from it can come out openly in society and help us not to spread it. But this leadership should be able to develop more and more people who fall in the rare breed of leaders. One leadership should be able to create many leaders to lead themselves.
To sustain the fight, this initiative should make the most uncommon breed the most common one.

Most talk with mouth, some with gestures and the genuis .....
Those people must be happy now when sachin gets out on a 100 and still India wins a match. right? . Call it superstition or whatever but as it goes in Indian belief "Sachin ko kissi ki nazzar lag gayi hai" and i am sure those are the people who used to quote him a selfish guy just playing for his centuries . Damned !!!!
It used to hurt when something was written as bad as selfish for such a genuine sportsperson. I am sure the day is not far when he gets his more then deserved century and the moment will freeze for all the cricket fans across the world. We have seen lot of magic already by this genius but this one is going to be really special.
A old saying is there "Life at 41".. i think Tendulkar is just experiencing it, standing tall and handsome at 41 one day centuries and working harder for hi 42nd ....
thats the spirt Sachin !!!
weldone.
keep it up!!!
